A Perfect Circle Returns From Hiatus And Announce Fall Tour

A Perfect Circle have announced that they’re returning from hiatus and will embark on a five-city tour this fall. Shows at the Marquee Theatre in Phoenix, Avalon in Los Angeles, Showbox at the Market in Seattle and the Fillmore in San Francisco will each be three-night stops featuring front-to-back performances of each of the band’s full-lengths. A show at the Pearl in Las Vegas will be a two-night outing featuring the band’s first two albums. They will also perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Oct. 27.

Dream Theater Part Ways With Drummer Mike Portnoy

Dream Theater founding member and drummer Mike Portnoy has announced that he has departed the band after 25 years. He is currently filling in with Avenged Sevenfold, and he wanted a longer break from Dream Theater. He tried to convince the band to go on hiatus, but the band didn’t want to. Rise Against To Release DVD In October

Rise Against have announced that they’ll release a DVD “Another Station: Another Mile” on Oct. 5. It’ll feature 14 performances of songs recorded in locations throughout the world interspersed with interviews from the band revealing the creative process that goes into a Rise Against song. It’ll also feature the histories of each individual member. According to TV Guide, the SyFy Channel is developing a new reality series around Billy Ray and Trace Cyrus (formerly of Metro Station). 3OH!3 Sued By Former Wrestler “Diamond” Dallas Page

Celebrity gossip websites are reporting that 3OH!3 have been sued by former professional wrestler “Diamond” Dallas Page over accusations they’re infringing the copyright he owns on the world famous “hand diamond” gesture that the group uses for their logo. According to the lawsuit filed on August 31, Page claims that 3OH!3 have “misappropriated Plaintiff’s Diamond Cutter trademark hand sign to promote its apparel, entertainment services, and other products.” You can read about the charges and see the official paperwork here.
