Riot At Death From Above 1979 Reunion Show At SXSW

A riot happen last night during the reunion show of Death From Above 1979 at the Beauty Bar Backyard venue during the South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas. About 20 minutes into the bands show around 1 a.m. for their first show in five years, fans outside the venue knocked over a fence. Police intervened and reportedly used force and tasers before horse-mounted officers arrived. Former Social Distortion Drummer Arrested For Overdosing In Front Of Son

Casey Royer(former drummer for Social Distortion) was arrested in Orange County, California, after he allegedly overdosed on heroin in front of his 12-year-old son. He was reportedly watching TV with his son when he began to overdose. His son ran to a neighbor’s house for help, and they subsequently called the police. Royer was hospitalized and arrested shortly after. He’s been officially charged with one count of child endangerment and one count of being under the influence of heroin. He’s currently being held on $120,000 bail.

Sublime With Rome Sign To Fueled By Ramen

Sublime with Rome have signed to Fueled By Ramen. The band features bassist Eric Wilson and drummer Bud Gaugh(founding members of Sublime) along with vocalist/guitarist Rome. They are working on their label debut with producer Paul Leary (Sublime, Long Beach Dub Allstars) and plan to release a single later this spring.

Sum 41 have been forced to cancel multiple shows at the Soundwave Festival in Australia due to Deryck Whibley (lead singer, guitar) unfortunately being diagnosed with severe pneumonia.
