Riot At Death From Above 1979 Reunion Show At SXSW

A riot happen last night during the reunion show of Death From Above 1979 at the Beauty Bar Backyard venue during the South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas. About 20 minutes into the bands show around 1 a.m. for their first show in five years, fans outside the venue knocked over a fence. Police intervened and reportedly used force and tasers before horse-mounted officers arrived. The band stopped their set and tried to calm down the crowd, but as they began playing “Romantic Rights,” police stormed onto the stage and forced them to stop. The band were eventually allowed to resume playing. Watch footage below:
