Ashlee Simpson Files For Divorce From Pete Wentz
Ashlee Simpson has filed for divorce from Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy and Black Cards. Documents filed in L.A. County Superior Court show that Ashlee cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, and she’s asking for joint legal custody and primary physical custody of their son, Bronx. She is also filing for spousal and child support.

Story Of The Year, Hawthorne Heights, More Contributing To Nirvana Tribute
In a interview, Story Of The Year frontman Dan Marsala revealed that the band are contributing a cover of Nirvana’s “Breed” for a tribute album planned around the 20th anniversary of ‘Nevermind.’ Marsala says that Hawthorne Heights and “some other bands” will provide covers for the album, and Hawthorne Heights drummer Eron Bucciarelli confirmed to Altpress that they will be performing “Lithium.” Bucciarelli said, “Hopefully, we do it justice.”

Ex-Paramore Guitarist Josh Farro Starts New Band
Josh Farro has revealed that he’s started a new band called Novel American. Farro says the band is influenced by the likes of Radiohead, Jimmy Eat World and Explosions In The Sky. The band features Farro along with his longtime friends Van Beasley (vocals), Ryan Clark (bass) and Tyler Ward (drums), formerly of Nashville band Cecil Adora. Novel American are planning to record an EP and play locally as they build their sound.
