Slipknot will release a new live DVD, ‘(sic)nesses‘, on September 28th. The performance was filmed on June 13th, 2009 at the Download Festival and was one of the last major performances for Paul Gray. The DVD includes the band’s eighteen track set plus a forty five minute behind the scenes documentary, music videos for “Psychosocial”, “Dead Memories”, “Sulfur” and “Snuff”. Slipknot bass player Paul Gray died of an accidental overdose of morphine and fentanyl, a medical examiner has ruled. Gray’s body was discovered on May 24 by a maintenance worker at TownePlace Suites in Urbandale. A hypodermic needle lay near the bed, and “all kinds of pills” surrounded Gray, who was hunched over in the corner of the room, according to a 911 call. Polk County Medical Examiner Dr. Gregory Schmunk said today that it was two injected drugs of fentanyl which is a synthetic form of morphine that killed Gray. Slipknot bassist Paul Gray, aka #2, was found dead by a hotel worker in Des Moines, IA this morning. He was 38. Police are investigating the death. There was no evidence of foul play. An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow.
