Dream Theater Part Ways With Drummer Mike Portnoy

Dream Theater founding member and drummer Mike Portnoy has announced that he has departed the band after 25 years. He is currently filling in with Avenged Sevenfold, and he wanted a longer break from Dream Theater. He tried to convince the band to go on hiatus, but the band didn’t want to.
