Blink-182 Reveal Meaning Of Album Title

Blink-182‘s bassist Mark Hoppus explained to MTV about why the band chose the album title ‘Neighborhoods’. Check out the article here and see an excerpt below. “So we’re each like different neighborhoods in a city. Everybody in the world thinks of something unique unto themselves when they hear the word ‘Neighborhoods,’ ” he continued. “To some it is a big city, others a small town, others suburbia, everything. The world is wide, exciting and very different. That’s what Neighborhoods means to me.”

Blink-182 Almost Finished With New Album

Blink-182 is getting closer to finishing their new album. Mark Hoppus has posted a new Facebook update about the album’s current status. Read below: i’m very excited. we’re getting to the point of the album where we talk about mixers and finishing up the songs. we deliver the album to the label on july 31st, so it will be coming out during the tour. the most recent batch of songs are some of the best of the entire record. very happy it’s all coming together.

Blink-182 and My Chemical Romance will headline the 2011 Honda Civic tour. Support on select dates will be from Manchester Orchestra, Matt & Kim and Rancid. Blink-182 Reschedule Summer Tour Of Europe

Blink-182 have announced that they’ve rescheduled their summer tour of Europe due to the fact that they wouldn’t have enough new music to play. Statement: It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce our planned 2011 European Summer tour has been rescheduled.  When we booked the tour last year, we were confident that we would have the new album out before the Summer. Blink-182 More Than Halfway Done Recording New Album

Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker said in a interview that the band are “a little more than halfway through” recording their new album. Barker says, It’s hard to say what everything’s going to sound like because it’s not finished. It does feel exactly where it should be, where we left off with the self-titled [2003 album]. [The songs] feel like they could be disc two of that album so far. I believe we’re planning on turning it in in July and out hopefully in the summer. I think a summer tour and summer album would be nice.
