Black Sabbath To Hold Press Conference On 11/11/11

Black Sabbath are holding a press conference to make a “special announcement” on November 11, at 11:11 a.m. in Los Angeles. It will be held at the Whisky A Go Go , where the band made its Los Angeles debut 41 years ago. All four original members will be present and it will be hosted by Henry Rollins. It is a private event.

GWAR Guitarist Cory Smoot Found Dead

GWAR guitarist Cory Smoot (Flattus Maximus) was found dead by his bandmates as they prepared to cross the Canadian border. No cause of death has been revealed at this time. You can read a statement from the band here.

Vans Co-founder James Van Doren Dies At 72

James Van Doren, co-founder of Vans shoes, passed away at the age of 72. Van Doren co-founded Vans, originally known as the Van Doren Rubber Co., with his older brother Paul in 1966 in Anaheim, California. He ran the company from 1976 to 1984.

The Felix Culpa Announce Final Show

Jonny Craig Released From Jail

Jonny Craig was released last night from the Solano County Jail. Read the statement from the police department below. Jonathan Craig was released on October 31st from Solano County (CA) Jail by order of the judge through California’s drug diversion program. Upon his release, Mr. Craig is court ordered to complete time in drug rehab, if he makes a mistake, he’ll be sent back to jail and likely be sentenced to serve some time.
