Four Year Strong have parted ways with Universal Motown/Universal Republic. Read below: “When the merger between Motown and Republic happened, our album was essentially done,” says FYS manager Rob Hitt. “Republic put out the album since it was done and didn’t seem like they had much intention other than that, so we were able to get off the label. Tom Gabel Of Against Me! Comes Out As Transgender

Against Me! frontman Tom Gabel has revealed plans to begin living as a woman. You can read it all here. Gabel, who has dealt privately with gender dysphoria for years, will soon begin the process of transition, by taking hormones and undergoing electrolysis treatments. Gabel will eventually take the name Laura Jane Grace, and will remain married to her wife Heather. ‘For me, the most terrifying thing about this was how she would accept the news,’ says Gabel. ‘But she’s been super-amazing and understanding.’

Justin Pivec Not Guilty In Attack Of Madina Lake Bassist

Justin Pivec was found not guilty of attempted murder in a 2010 attack on Madina Lake bassist Matthew Leone. Domestic violence charges against Pivec are still pending. Via Chicago Tribune: Pivec was charged with attempted murder in the 2010 attack on Matthew Leone, 35, bassist for the rock band Madina Lake. Prosecutors had said Pivec was choking his wife while he pinned her against a fence early on June 29, 2010, in the 1300 block of West Ohio Street.
