Longineu “LP” Parson III and Ben Harper (formerly of Yellowcard) have formed a new band called This Legend. The band also includes Stanley and the Search’s Chris Castillo and Steven Neufeld from HeyMike! They have signed to Cyber Tracks, a label owned by NOFX guitarist El Hefe. It has been announced that long-time drummer Longineu “LP” Parsons III has left YELLOWCARD. Said the band in a joint statement, “Longineu has decided to pursue other musical interests. In an interview with OC Weekly, Yellowcard vocalist Ryan Key confirmed that the band have begun writing their next album. I’ve written more than I usually do at this stage…everyone in the band is really spread out geographically right now. Usually, Ryan, Sean and I start writing together early on, but that’s kind of hard to do this time. Yellowcard have announced a second leg of their Ocean Avenue Acoustic tour. Dates will be release on Monday. Ocean Avenue Acoustic back out on the road! From January 16th until February 7th, 2014 we will be playing some of the cities we missed the first time around.
