Former Social Distortion Drummer Arrested For Overdosing In Front Of Son
Casey Royer(former drummer for Social Distortion) was arrested in Orange County, California, after he allegedly overdosed on heroin in front of his 12-year-old son. He was reportedly watching TV with his son when he began to overdose. His son ran to a neighbor’s house for help, and they subsequently called the police. Royer was hospitalized and arrested shortly after. He’s been officially charged with one count of child endangerment and one count of being under the influence of heroin. He’s currently being held on $120,000 bail.

Social Distortion have signed to Epitaph and plan to release their first studio album since 2004 on the label this fall.
