Metallica is holding a contest called Hit The Stage that lets local bands win a chance to open for them at five upcoming dates. Metallica, The Who Headline 2017 Outside Lands

The San Francisco-based Outside Lands Festival is back for its tenth anniversary. The lineup for the festival was just revealed, with Metallica, The Who and Gorillaz serving as the headliners for the three-day music weekend. Three-day passes in both general admission and VIP options will go on sale beginning this Thursday, April 6 at 10AM PT.

Metallica To Headline 2017 South American Lollapalooza Festivals

Metallica will headline Lollapalooza in Brazil, Argentina and Chile. Lollapalooza Brazil will be held on March 25 and 26 at Autódromo de Interlagos in São Paulo and also feature The Strokes, Rancid, Cage the Elephant and more. Then in Argentina come March 31 and April 1 at Hippodromo de San Isidro in Buenos Aires. The final installment of Lollapalooza’s 2017 run in South America will be held at O’Higgins Park in Santiago, Chile on April 1 and 2.
