Former Black Sabbath Keyboardist Geoff Nicholls Dead At 68

Former Black Sabbath keyboardist Geoff Nicholls has passed away at the age of 68, following a battle with lung cancer Billboard reports. He had a run with the band from 1979-2004, and he appeared on nine Black Sabbath studio albums. The Dead Rabbits (Craig Mabbitt and TJ Bell of Escape The Fate’s side project) have released their first new song since 2014. Their upcoming album ‘This Emptiness’ will be released this year via Tragic Hero Records. “This song is a reflection of myself, and the foolish ways I cope with pain,” Mabbitt shares. “I realized that consuming substances for the wrong reasons can send you on a downward spiral, and no matter what you do, it will still hurt the same. Just gotta learn how to pick yourself up and end that cycle.”

Rock Fest will be returning once again to Cadott, Wis. in 2017. Avenged Sevenfold, Rob Zombie and Slayer will be headlining over the course of the July 13 – 15 weekend. Rock Fest is set on 320 acres of land that includes over 7,000 camp sites. Fans will have the option to camp on the grounds or stay at nearby hotels with shuttle service.
