J.J. Abrams To Direct ‘Star Wars’ Movie

Today, in an exclusive on TheWrap.com, it was announced that J.J. Abrams will direct Star Wars: Episode VII. Disney has set a 2015 release date for Star Wars: Episode VII. Little Miss Sunshine screenwriter Michael Arndt will write the script.

Oscar Nominations Have Been Announced

The Oscar nominations have been announced. Lincoln earned the most nominations, coming in with 12, including nods for Best Picture, Actor In a Leading Role (Daniel Day-Lewis), Actor In a Supporting Role (Tommy Lee Jones), Actress In a Supporting Role (Sally Field) and Directing (Steven Spielberg). Disney Acquires Lucasfilm, ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ Coming 2015

Disney bought George Lucas’ Lucasfilm Ltd. for $4.05 billion.  And they plan on releasing ‘Star Wars: Episode VII‘ in 2015. In a press release from Disney, Lucas said: For the past 35 years, one of my greatest pleasures has been to see Star Wars passed from one generation to the next.
