Nine Inch Nails’ ‘Pretty Hate Machine’ To Be Re-Issued
Nine Inch Nails’ ‘Pretty Hate Machine‘ is set to be re-issued later this year by Bicycle Music. They recently acquired recordings from NIN and other former TVT Records artists. Bicycle Music holds co-publishing rights to all the album releases from ‘Pretty Hate Machine‘ through ‘Year Zero‘. Those Nine Inch Nails’ albums haven’t been available for several years now due to TVT Records filing for Bankruptcy in 2002 and the legal proceedings that followed.
In Memoriam: Sex Pistols Manager Malcolm McLaren
Former Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren passed away this morning in New York following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 64. Born in North London, U.K., McLaren was an art-school dropout and clothing designer when he began managing the New York Dolls in the early ’70s. By 1975, he had become manager of the Sex Pistols and rose to fame when the band’s anti-establishment anthem “God Save The Queen” (which he provided vocals for) took the top spot on the U.K. charts during Queen Elizabeth II’s 1977 silver jubilee celebration. Lamb of God are planning a three disc anthology set for June 1st. ‘Hourglass Volume I – The Underground Years‘ includes material released prior to the band’s signing to Epic Records. ‘Hourglass Volume I – The Epic Years‘ features tracks spanning career with Epic Records. A third release, ‘Hourglass – The CD Anthology‘, includes both Volume I and II plus other rarities and bonus tracks.
