UPDATE 12/2/11 Toolband.com revised the post to clarify that the sessions were for Volto (drummer Danny Carey’s side project) not for tool.
Tool have announced on their website newsletter that they entered the studio to start recording their new album over Thanksgiving. They are once again working with producer/engineer Joe Barresi (Coheed and Cambria, Puscifer, Clutch) for the album.
