Ex-Stone Temple Pilots, Velvet Revolver Frontman Scott Weiland Found Dead At 48

Former Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland died Thursday night (Dec. 3) at the age of 48. The news has been confirmed with an official statement posted on his social media sites. TMZ has reportedly obtained audio of communications between the Bloomington, Minn., police department and the Hennepin County sheriff’s department that reveals that Weiland was not breathing when they arrived on the scene. The dispatcher conveyed that Weiland had possibly gone into cardiac arrest as the immediate cause of death. However, the underlying cause of death has yet to be revealed.

Scott Weiland Back With Velvet Revolver

According to an ABC News interview with Scott Weiland, Weiland has reunited with Velvet Revolver.  Scott Weiland along with guitarist David Kushner and bassist Duff McKagen will be together next week for a song writing session with a short tour is in the works for later this year.

Members Of Weezer, Queens Of The Stone Age, Velvet Revolver Form Animated Rock Band

RollingStone.com is reporting that members of Velvet Revolver, Weezer, Scars On Broadway and Queens Of The Stone Age have formed a new band called Pusher Jones. The band is going to be animated. The lineup consists of singer Frankie Perez (Camp Freddy/Scars On Broadway), guitarist Dave Kushner (Velvet Revolver), bassist Scott Shriner (Weezer) and drummer Joey Castillo (Queens Of The Stone Age), as well as Dave Warren the creative director of The Simpsons.
