Slipknot Confirm They’re Working On New Music

Slipknot’s Shawn “Clown” Crahan has confirmed in a sit down with Detroit, Michigan radio station WRIF-FM that the band is working on a new record. “We’re not just gonna sit around,” Crahan said. “We just feel like writing.” “We’re writing as a band, and with Corey as well… We’re off, and we’re off for a while,” Crahan says. “We’ve been touring for three years. Slipknot To Begin Writing New Album In February

Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan of Slipknot has revealed the writing for the next album will begin soon. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Clown discussed directing his first film, Officer Downe, but turned his attention to Slipknot for a moment. He stated that he and guitarist Jim Root will team up in early February of 2017 to begin working on new Slipknot material “because we want to write.” No timetable was given as to when Slipknot will actually enter the studio to work on the new album.

Slipknot are postponing the first few weeks of their tour with Marilyn Manson and Of Mice & Men following frontman Corey Taylor’s “unplanned” spinal surgery. The tour will now officially begin on June 28 in Nashville, Tennessee. Regretfully, I’m sending this to our fans to inform you that we will be postponing the first couple of weeks of our upcoming U.S tour. Unfortunately, I had to undergo an unplanned spinal surgery.
