Rise Against, A Day To Remember, Chiodos Announced For Riot Fest

The initial lineup for this year’s Riot Fest and Carnival in Chicago has been announced below. The festival will take place September 14-16 at Humboldt Park and Congress Theater, with performances from Rise Against, Iggy and the Stooges, the Offspring, Chiodos, A Day To Remember, Coheed And Cambria and more. August Burns Red To Record Christmas Album

August Burns Red drummer Matt Greiner revealed that the band will be going into the studio next month to record a Christmas album. We’re currently writing a Christmas record which we’re recording in March. That’s something we’re all very excited for. We’ve released 5 Christmas songs so far and we’re looking forward to this one. New Song – August Burns Red “Empire”

August Burns Red have posted a new song “Empire.” The is off their upcoming fourth album ‘Leveler.’ The album come out on June 21 via Solid State. Guitarist JB Brubaker says, ‘Empire’ is a pretty intense song and we feel it starts the album out with a bang. My favorite part is the melodic section in the middle with the group singing. We’ve never done anything like that before and it makes the song special for me.
